Floor Schedule and Procedure:
Senate Amendment to H.R. 1868 – An Act to prevent across-the-board direct spending cuts, and for other purposes (Rep. Yarmuth – Budget)
The bill will support health care providers on the frontlines of the pandemic by extending the temporary suspension of the Medicare sequester through December 31, 2021, and will make technical fixes to ensure laws are implemented according to Congressional intent. Click here for bill text.
Compared to the House-passed bill (see section-by-section and summary), the Senate amendment removes the provision pertaining to Statutory PAYGO sequestration, extends Medicare payment reductions in 2030, and deletes two technical corrections.
