Whip Emmer on Republicans getting their message out to voters:

“We are 435 pieces of geography with unique demographics in each one. Our incumbents, our candidates need to figure out what the message is that moves their voters in their state and then they need to use the media that’s available and it’s all different kinds…we’ve got to be up with our game, but it’s about getting our message to people because guess what? The American people are much smarter than even these corrupt left-wing journalists are and that’s why we’ve been successful the last several election cycles.”

Whip Emmer on affordability:

“If you take a look at Tax Day, that was the beginning of how people actually are feeling it directly - no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime. As this thing builds and you start to see the celebrations that our great president is planning for this country on its 250th birthday and as you get the billions that you were talking about earlier on your program that are being injected into our economy right now, by the time we hit that August, September, October period, perception and reality will intercept and guess what? We are going to have more than a message…it’s always about the economy, stupid. It always has been!”

Whip Emmer on funding the U.S. Department of Homeland Security: 

“This is because Chuck Schumer and Democrats hate law enforcement and, in particular, they hate federal law enforcement. They’ve shut down the Department of Homeland Security…we know that when it comes to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Border Patrol, they are in a bad situation. Their last paycheck is coming I believe this week, today. We’ve got to make sure they get funded in spite of the Democrats’ refusal to put Americans’ safety first…on the DHS side, we had a spirited discussion over several hours last night about the budget resolution and the future as we go forward…but at the end of the day, we got both [FISA and the Budget Resolution] of them done. We are unified…our members are committed that we protect Americans’ safety first.”

Whip Emmer on Tim Walz trying to claim credit for federal raids of Minnesota fraud sites:

“This guy has no religion except the altar of Tim Walz. You can’t believe a word that comes out of this man’s mouth. He lied about his military career; he got caught on national TV lying about something as dumb as when he was at Tiananmen Square. And what was his answer back in that debate with JD Vance? He said, ‘Well, sometimes, I come from a small town, and sometimes I’m a bit of a knucklehead.’ You know what, that’s no excuse for being a liar. And when he says that the buck stops with him, I agree because as much as $9 billion has gone out under his watch in just the last 7.5 years.”
