Today, Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) hosted “From the Ice to the House: the Stanley Cup Experience” in his U.S. Capitol office for the fourth year in a row. Whip Emmer welcomed lawmakers, staff, and hockey fanatics to view and take photos with the world-renowned trophy.

The Cup visits Whip Emmer’s office just one week before the annual Congressional Hockey Challenge taking place on March 26, 2026. 

“After the huge year for the U.S. women’s and men’s Olympic hockey teams, and the Paralympic sled hockey team, the Capitol is buzzing with a new appreciation for the greatest sport on earth,” said Whip Emmer. “Hockey teaches you the value of teamwork, leadership, grit, and tenacity - all important life skills to have whether in Congress or on the ice.”
