Whip Emmer on the Democrats’ list of demands for DHS funding: 

“Well, it's first off, we're going to leave it to the president, who is the negotiator-in-chief, but the things that you just read to me are non-starters for almost all of our members…When these guys say they want, for instance, administrative warrants, people who are watching this should understand, first off, when an administrative warrant has been issued for the deportation of an illegal, they have gotten full due process. Now, these guys say they want a judicial warrant on top of that. Lara, you know what that really is? They want amnesty. They want mass amnesty, which if you think about it, is very consistent with where the Democrats have been, especially since Joe Biden was destroying this country.”

Whip Emmer on Chuck Schumer’s inflammatory claims about voter ID requirements:

“Who doesn't want or believe that it's reasonable to show a photo ID? You got to show one at the library to get a book. Who doesn't believe that it makes sense that only US citizens should actually be allowed to vote? You should have to register and show proof of citizenship to make sure that the right people are voting. We should also have a deadline. If ballots are in, the deadline is the deadline. California, you don't get to keep counting for the next month and finding more ballots. And by the way, you should also be cleaning up all the voter rolls and you should make sure that you're not just mailing

out mass ballots. People need to request a ballot. Then we know that they're real. We all believe in these. And you know what, Lara? The vast majority of America believes in it. So, when Chuck is opening his mouth and claiming it's something it's not, Donald Trump has already broken that spell.”

Whip Emmer on the upcoming midterm elections:

“With the president's leadership, we've done all the work. This is going to come down to the economy. This thing was destroyed under Joe Biden. Donald Trump, with the help of the Republican majorities that he helped elect in the Senate and the House, has been putting the car back together and putting it back on the road. I am very confident that when we get to next fall, and this economy continues to come out and do exactly what Donald Trump was hired to do, people are going to re-elect Republicans to run the Senate and the House.”
