Whip Emmer thanks the National Guard for securing Washington, D.C.

Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) took to the streets of our nation’s capital to thank the National Guard for protecting Washington, D.C. as a part of President Trump’s crackdown on crime. 

 

Since the president’s crackdown began, violent crime in the capital city is down 45% and carjackings are down 87%. As of Monday, nearly 1,600 arrests had been made and 165 illegal guns seized.
