Whip Emmer Hosts Roundtable with Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien

WASHINGTON – Today, Majority Whip Tom Emmer hosted a roundtable with International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and Members of the House Republican Majority to discuss ways we can work together to support American workers in the 119th Congress.

Whip Emmer and General President O’Brien were joined by Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14), Representatives Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26), Pete Stauber (MN-08), Don Bacon (NE-02), Chris Smith (NJ-04), Tom Kean (NJ-07), Nick LaLota (NY-01), Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11), Mike Lawler (NY-17), Max Miller (OH-07), Dave Joyce (OH-14), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Dan Newhouse (WA-04), and Representatives-elect Rob Bresnahan (PA-08) and Riley Moore (WV-02).

“After four years of the Democrats’ detrimental policies that have crippled America’s workforce, voters elected a Republican trifecta with a mandate for change,” said Whip Emmer. “We’re grateful for President O’Brien’s leadership in empowering American workers and look forward to partnering with him to deliver on President Trump’s America First agenda for the working class.”

“The Teamsters Union’s allegiance is to our 1.3 million members and their families. We will be working around the clock with elected officials in both parties to advance legislation to protect workers and make their lives better,” said General President O’Brien. “I was glad to talk with Whip Emmer and members of the House Republican Conference today about how we can advance a bipartisan agenda that supports the creation of good union jobs and holds political and corporate elites accountable.”
