Emmer slams Biden’s border trip as ‘another cleaned-up photo op’

WASHINGTON – Majority Whip Tom Emmer slammed Joe Biden’s visit to Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday as “another cleaned-up photo op” and “too little, too late.” Whip Emmer also said Biden has “blood on his hands” for the wave of violent crime due to his administration’s open-border policies. Read more about what the Whip had to say below: Fox News: “It's just going to be another cleaned up photo op. It's not going to be any actual confrontation of the crisis that this guy created. Time and time again, Joe Biden proves that he cares more about minimizing the political implications of this issue than actually addressing it. So I don't expect much is going to come out of it, except the American people are going to realize once again that Joe Biden doesn't really mean business when it comes to the border.” Fox News: “President Biden can fix this crisis, and I hope his visit is the wakeup call he needs to use the authority he already has to build the border wall, reinstate Title 42, and end catch-and-release, so that we can finally secure our border, uphold our national security, and keep Americans safe.”
Breitbart News: “Emmer said that Biden ‘has blood on his hands. So does this entire administration, because they have not done the job of sealing the border and protecting Americans and their property.’”
New York Post: “It's pretty much a joke. You've got President Trump, who started setting up a visit, I think, three weeks ago and you have this last-minute rushed [Biden] visit.”
