Confidence Plunging In President Obama's Economy Policies

Jun 14, 2011

After calling the recent barrage of negative economic news and stagnate private sector growth “bumps in the road,” President Obama is now just trying to laugh off his failed economic policies that cost taxpayers trillions.

President Obama Laughs Off Failure Of His Stimulus Project To Create Jobs. “At this point, Obama smiled and interjected, "Shovel-ready was not as ... uh .. shovel-ready as we expected." The Council, led by GE's Jeffrey Immelt, erupted in laughter. The Obama administration promised the Recovery Act ("the stimulus") would prevent the jobless rate from going over 8%. It now stands at 9.1%.” (“Obama Jokes at Jobs Council: 'Shovel-Ready Was Not as Shovel-Ready as We Expected,'” Fox News, 6/13/11)

Summer Of Recovery – “Jobs Never Materialized.” “But with summer quickly coming to an end, those jobs gains and a robust economic recovery have not yet materialized, leaving Democrats on the verge of a fall election campaign in which Republicans are poised to make them eat their words.” (Devin Dwyer, “GOP Targets Obama's 'Recovery Summer' Amid Economic Gloom,” ABC News, 8/24/10)
