McCarthy Statement On House Passage Of The Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act

Sep 15, 2011

Washington D.C. – House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (CA-22) released the following statement in support of the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act (H.R. 2587):

“House Republicans over the past weeks and months have spoken with small business owners and entrepreneurs – the engines of job creation in this country – about the obstacles they face. We’ve heard their overwhelming response: the uncertainty caused by the threat of pending and current regulations coupled with higher taxes holds back expansion and new hiring that we need to fuel economic growth. The targeting of Boeing by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is a prime example of Big Government inhibiting private sector growth. The federal government should not be telling private businesses where they can and cannot create jobs in the United States.”
