McCarthy: To Grow Our Economy, We Must Make America More Competitive

 “As we’ve just come back from touring our districts, if you listened inside Conference, all our members went home and listened to small businesses. They’re hearing exactly what you’re hearing all across the country – the need for job creation, and the ability for those who have jobs to be able to maintain them, to be able to be competitive. This week and next week, we’ll show you exactly what’s happening in the House, and what the Republicans are doing about the economy. The Speaker talked about the two bills that are coming to the floor today. They came out of Committee with bipartisan support, it will be a bipartisan vote on the floor. The question will be ‘what will the Senate do?’ Will the Senate continue to do what they’ve done in the past, and just let the bill sit, or will they actually have a vote on the floor to be able to move the bills forward?
